G-DRAGON’s first solo album, “Heartbreaker” garnered him the “Album of the Year” award and was also the top selling record of 2009. The album’s artistry and commercial success demonstrated his unlimited potential as a solo act. He built his reputation as a prolific songwriter and producer after writing some of BIGBANG’s earliest hits such as “Lies”, “Last Farewell” and “Haru Haru” which sealed his position as a hit-making prodigy before he was 19 years old. He is credited for co-writing all of BIGBANG’s hits to this day including “Tonight”, “Bad Boy” and “Fantastic Baby”. From hip-hop to punk, rock and pop, G-DRAGON seamlessly blended various musical genres on his 2nd release, the EP entitled “One of a Kind”. GD’s 2013 ONE OF A KIND WORLD TOUR gathered 570,000 fans from 27 different cities around the world, the first world tour by a solo act from Korea. Combining 2012’s ALIVE WORLD TOUR and 2013’s JAPAN DOME TOUR with BIGBANG, more than 2 million fans have seen G-DRAGON on tour in the last few years alone. In addition to his own musical pursuits, G-DRAGON has collaborated with accessory brand AMBUSH, clothing brands CHROME HEARTS and STAMPD LA and has also lent his music directing services for a Nicola Formichetti fashion show.

TAEYANG

Young-Bae Dong, known by his stage name, TAEYANG, is a Korean recording artist who signed to YG Entertainment at just 12 years old. After training for 6 years, he claimed the role of main vocalist of BIGBANG. Described by Korea Times as “the icons of Korean pop [music]“, BIGBANG’s diversely talented and acclaimed artists are arguably the most-influential band out of Asia. TAEYANG was the first member of BIGBANG to step out from the group as a solo artist when releasing his first album, “Hot” in 2008. The album received praise from the public and critics alike, with “Hot” winning the award for Best R&B/Soul Record, and the single, “Only Look At Me”, winning the award for Best R&B/Soul Song. TAEYANG is the closest Korea has to a true R&B star and is also known as Korea’s best natural dancer. In late 2013 he released “Ringa Linga” to start off his solo comeback. Both the music video and choreography video became viral hits with a combined 40+ million YouTube views. In June of 2014, he dropped his much anticipated album “RISE” with the hit single “Eyes, Nose, Lips” having an unprecedented 5 week run at #1 on Korea’s biggest real-time music chart. The smash album was the 3rd best charting Korean album in US Billboard 200 history and the highest charting ever for a solo act. “RISE” also reached the US Top 10 iTunes Album Chart solidifying TAEYANG at the top of Asia’s music scene. His solo Japan Tour was sold-out within minutes which caused the demand to double the number of dates planned even prior to the release of his first Japanese album. In October, TAEYANG fired up the nights of 12,000 fans at his first solo concert in Seoul in 4 years, ’2014 TAEYANG CONCERT RISE,’ held at Seoul Olympic Hall.
