Top Model LEE SUNG KYUNG Makes Drama Debut in “It’s OK, It’s Love” 2014.04.09

Top model LEE SUNG KYUNG makes her debut as an actress in SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama series “It’s OK, It’s love” (written by Noh Hee Kyung, produced by Kim Gyoo Tae), that will be aired in July this year.
LEE SUNG KYUNG is one of the hottest models nowadays, who has a subtly charming face with pretty and delicate features, 174 centimeters of height, and perfect figure.
LEE is Korea’s top model managed by K-Plus Models. She has stood on the runway of famous Korean designers’ collections, including Kwak Hyun Joo in 2013 S/S and 2012 F/W, LEYII, the studio K, Lee Sang Bong, Steven Yoni, and Miss Gee, as well as that of world-class foreign brands such as Chanel, Prada, FUR, DKNY, KUHO, Vivien Westwood, Tiffany, and Vera Wang.
LEE received “Lex Prize” in the 17th Korea Super Model Contest in 2008 and “Unix Hair New Style Prize” in the 2nd Asia-Pacific Super Model Contest in 2009. She has appeared in commercial films of SKT, Home Plus, Galaxy S2, and Anyday. Recently, she has been selected as the new model for EVISU’s S/S collection and there is a continuing demand for her from a lot of other brands including Buckaroo, Uniqlo, and Kolon.
LEE SUNG KYUNG has signed an official contract as the first actress produced under the collaboration between YG Entertainment (“YG”) and K-Plus Model Company and she now joins YG Family following CHA SEUNG WON and CHOI JI WOO. That makes LEE a colleague of BIGBANG, 2NE1, Epik High, KOO HYE SUN, and YOO IN NA. Now, LEE makes an official debut in TV drama, turning herself into an actress from a model.
LEE’s first drama is “It’s OK, It’s Love” written by Noh Hee Kyung. People are paying keen attention to if LEE can grow into a new persona for famous dramatist Noh Hee Kyung.
The genre of “It’s OK, It’s Love” is “romantic mental clinic” which deals with the life and love of people in our modern society, who have diseases of mind but do not know it.
LEE SUNG KYUNG will appear as 19-year-old troubled student “Ahn Sonyeo”. “Sonyeo” is expelled from school after making a trouble, and then works as a part-timer at a café of “Jang Jae Yul” (played by Jo In Sung), who is a mystery storywriter and a radio DJ. Coincidentally, “Sonyeo” becomes a member of patient group at a mental health clinic to which Jang goes. There, she meets “Ji Hae Soo” (played by Gong Hyo Jin), a medical doctor at a general hospital, and gets fascinated by her, to try to go to medical school to major in psychiatry.
As the drama is creating sensation even before its broadcasting with the golden lineup of actors and actresses including Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Sung Dong Il, and Lee Gwang Soo, drama fans are expressing growing expectations for LEE SUNG KYUNG and what presence she will show in the drama, as a new face.
Meanwhile, “It’s OK, It’s Love” will be aired starting from July, after “You’re under Siege”, which will start after currently aired “Three Days”, ends.
