BABYMONSTER Wraps Up First Japan Tour with a Bang, Attracts an Astounding 150,000 Fans, Triple the Attendance from Last Year

2025.04.21

YG’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has successfully wrapped up their very first Japan tour, setting a new record as the fastest K-POP girl group to draw 150,000 attendees across a Japanese tour.

On April 19 and 20, BABYMONSTER held the final shows of their 2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR ‘HELLO MONSTERS’ IN JAPAN at the Fukuoka International Center, ending the tour in spectacular fashion alongside a packed crowd of fans.

As the grand finale of their Japan tour, the atmosphere was electric from the opening with thunderous cheers and mass sing-alongs. BABYMONSTER showcased a lineup of hits like DRIP and SHEESH, as well as solo stages and a cover of 2NE1 songs, fully displaying their matured live performance skills. The members expressed their gratitude by saying, “Thanks to MONSTIEZ (the fandom name), we had a truly magical time. We’ll keep working hard to become artists you can be proud of.”

Originally planned for an audience of 100,000, the tour had to scale up repeatedly due to overwhelming demand. In response to fans who couldn’t secure tickets, additional seating with limited views and standing-room tickets were opened. At Kanagawa’s K Arena Yokohama, an emergency additional show was added, and for the first time during this tour, a concert was livestreamed online.

Industry insiders highlighted how rare it is for a group to hold arena-level concerts in Japan even before an official debut there, calling it clear evidence of BABYMONSTER’s rapid surge in popularity. Compared to last year’s fan meeting tour, they attracted over three times the audience, drawing 150,000 fans and setting a new milestone as the K-POP girl group to gather the largest crowd in the shortest time.

Defying expectations for a rookie group, BABYMONSTER launched a nationwide relay of pop-up stores in celebration of the tour, once again proving their strong presence. From steadily growing album sales and dominating digital music charts to reappearances on major broadcast music shows, collaborations with Google Pixel, and participation in significant local projects like Sony Park展 2025 Part2, their achievements in Japan have been remarkable.

The local media also paid close attention, extensively covering BABYMONSTER’s tour milestones and the overwhelming popularity of their performances. Their influence in Japan’s music scene was further validated when they appeared on major morning news programs on Japanese terrestrial TV.

Having completed the Japan leg of the 2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR ‘HELLO MONSTERS’, BABYMONSTER will now head to other Asian cities including Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. Newly added North American shows are set to kick off in August, starting in Toronto and continuing in Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle.
