BLACKPINK once again proved their status as a ‘world-class’ act by holding a solo concert at Wembley Stadium, a dream stage for artists, becoming the first-ever K-POP girl group to do so.

BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR IN LONDON’ at Wembley Stadium in London, UK on the 15th and 16th (local time).

Wembley Stadium is known as the “holy ground of pop,” where legendary performances have taken place, from Queen’s 1985 ‘Live Aid’ to concerts by Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. BLACKPINK became the first K-POP girl group to perform at this iconic venue, attracting a total of 110,000 attendees and setting yet another historic milestone.

As the opening track “Kill This Love” began to play, the crowd erupted in deafening cheers for BLACKPINK. The members kicked off the show with overwhelming charisma, fueling the excitement with global mega-hits such as “Pink Venom,” “How You Like That,” “Playing with Fire,” and “Shut Down”, all of which have received explosive love from fans around the world.

Each member’s solo stage, showcasing their distinct personalities, added rich variety to the concert. In particular, the full-group performance of their new track “JUMP” delivered an adrenaline-pumping burst of energy. The members captivated the audience with powerful performances backed by a live band, showcasing stable vocals and seasoned stage presence that thrilled the crowd every moment.

True to the scale of a stadium concert, YG-style production elevated the overall quality of the show. Spectacular special effects, stunning visuals, and a fireworks display lit up the London night sky, adding to the emotional impact. Special surprises for local fans included a cameo by FKA twigs in Rosé’s opening VCR and an encore cover of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe,” creating unforgettable memories.

In return, fans responded with roaring singalongs, standing ovations, and a wave of pink light sticks that nearly shook the venue. Reflecting on their journey, BLACKPINK expressed heartfelt gratitude: “London’s energy is incredible. It feels like a dream. We’re only able to stand on this stage because of you. It’s all thanks to BLINK (fandom name).”

Immediately following the London concert, major global media outlets highlighted BLACKPINK’s performance. BBC UK praised them, saying they had “cemented their status as the world’s top girl group,” while Billboard US added, “BLACKPINK reminds us how they became the world’s premier girl group.”

With the successful London show marking the finale of the European leg, BLACKPINK has now passed the halfway point of their ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR,’ which includes 31 shows in 16 cities. Starting this October, the group will move on to Asia with stadium-level concerts scheduled in Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, this London concert also marked YG’s first-ever overseas concert executed with an environmentally and socially responsible sustainability model. The event calculated carbon emissions, operated a carbon footprint measurement booth for attendees, and introduced sustainable practices through the display of ‘BLACKPINK Water’ paper-packaged bottled water, showcasing YG’s commitment to sustainability.
