BABYMONSTER Returns as the Game Changer… Tops iTunes and YouTube Worldwide with ‘WE GO UP’
BABYMONSTER has kicked off their comeback with a powerful start, dominating global charts with their 2nd mini album ‘WE GO UP.’ Immediately upon release on October 10, the group swept to No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart and No. 1 on YouTube’s Trending Worldwide Music Video Chart, achieving a double crown.
The title track ‘WE GO UP’ puts forth a bold message, to change the game. From the explosive brass opening to the fearless rap, soaring vocals, and strikingly direct hook, every element fuses tightly together to create an intense catharsis. The track’s driving sonic direction and the sharp contrast between the members’ unique tones maintain high tension throughout the song.
The music video has also drawn attention for its distinctive character portrayal and dynamic action sequences. The transitions between cuts, large-scale sets, and vivid color grading enhance rhythm and immersion, earning praise for its strong visual storytelling.
As a team that surpassed 10 million YouTube subscribers just 15 months after debut, BABYMONSTER has once again proven their digital power. The music video shot to No. 1 on YouTube’s Worldwide Trending chart within hours of release.
The pace of their comeback is equally impressive. Only about three months after their previous release, the new mini album is already showing significant global traction, signaling a strong upward trajectory. The tightly woven concept, combining album visuals, world-building, and performance, has expanded their reach beyond their core fandom.
Offline and performance-centered promotions are also underway. From October 11 to 19, BABYMONSTER is operating a pop-up store at the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch Open Stage in Seoul.
On October 14, the group will unveil an exclusive performance video for ‘WE GO UP,’ officially launching the performance campaign. They plan to continue expanding their comeback momentum through music shows, radio, YouTube, and other multi-platform appearances.
