On the 3rd, agency YG Entertainment announced that the music video for BABYMONSTER’s‘PSYCHO’ had surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment, the ‘PSYCHO’ music video, a track from BABYMONSTER’s second mini album ‘WE GO UP’, exceeded 100 million views on YouTube around 11:30 AM on this day. It reached the milestone in just about 14 days since its release on the 19th, marking an exceptionally fast pace, rivaling the record set by title track ‘WE GO UP’ (around 13 days), which holds the record for the fastest 100 million views among this year’s K-pop releases.
This achievement was no surprise. Upon release, the ‘PSYCHO’ music video ranked No.1 on YouTube’s “Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours” and topped the Worldwide Trending Music Video chart for three consecutive days, riding a steady wave of enthusiastic response from global music fans.
The video has been praised for its conceptual direction that intensifies the track’s powerful mood and its dreamlike atmosphere that blurs the line between dream and reality.
